Nestled between the Barossa Valley and the Adelaide Hills, the picturesque town of Mt. Pleasant will once again host the annual S.A. Spring Garden Festival, happening on Saturday the 21st of September 2024.

The festival features a full program that includes very special guest speaker Hannah Moloney, a large variety of plant and garden stalls, garden themed workshops, talks, activities and free Nature Craft activities for the kids. There will also be lots of delicious food and beverages, including gluten free and vegan options.

The Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market is again partnering with the S.A. Spring Garden Festival with extended trading hours, so you’ll be able to enjoy both the Festival and the Farmers Market experience in one location.

Mt. Pleasant is a beautiful drive from every direction and in Spring, the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley are alive with blossoms and spectacular scenery!

Admission is $12 (+ booking fee) per adult if purchased online, $15 per adult if purchased at the gate, with children under 16 and under Free. Tickets available online and at the gate on the day.

Gates open at 8am and close at 3pm.

CWA Garden Working Bee

You may have noticed the CWA Garden is undergoing some changes. These works are nearing an end with planting, mulching and lawn the last phase.

Together with the Barossa Council a working bee is planned for Saturday 9th of December from 08:00 to 11:00. Finishing with a sausage sizzle for those of you who get involved.

Tools will be supplied all that’s needed is the hands & bodies to use them.

Get involved in this Community Project, take the opportunity to meet other Mount Pleasant residents and have some fun whilst doing it.

SA Spring Garden Festival

Mt Pleasant will be the backdrop for to the annual SA Spring Garden Festival.

The combination of the Spring weather, the exceptionally broad variety of plant and garden wares, informative guest speakers, the charming venue, the diverse range of stallholders, workshops, along with the special programmed events for the day, food and entertainment will see the township of Mt Pleasant come alive for the day.

Kim Syrus will be the special guest speaker at the festival this year. You might know Kim from the television show ‘Outdoor Indoors’. Kim is the Executive Producer and Presenter of the South Australian lifestyle show and has an extensive knowledge on and experience with iconic gardens and landscapes.

Mt Pleasant Farmers Market will partner with the festival and run-in conjunction with the extended trading hours to align with those on the festival day.

Lobethal Gardening Festival

The Lobethal Gardening Festival has been created to showcase local gardeners who care for their own small patch or have a role in creating and/or caring for community green spaces. Come spend a day in Lobethal, starting at Bushland Park where you can redeem your ticket for a list of private and public gardens to visit around the town. You'll also receive details of times to hear some wonderful guest speakers throughout the day.
We are all about well-being, through gardening.

This is a fundraising event with proceeds going to the Lobethal Community Association to be used for projects within the township.

SPRING ROSE SHOW GOES NORTH!
Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th October
South Australia’s popular Spring Rose Show will be held for the first time at one of Adelaide’s best Garden Centres - Garden Grove, 1150 Golden Grove Road, Golden Grove on Saturday 23 October from 11am to 5pm and Sunday 24 October from 9am to 5pm. The officially opening the Rose Show at 2pm on Saturday.

Garden Grove will be filled with Rose Show competition entries, creative floral arrangements by Woodville Academy of Floral Design, and all your tools, fertilisers, supplies and potted roses will be on display and available for purchase to meet all your gardening needs.

There is a free Rose and Garden Lecture Program on both Saturday and Sunday. The Rose Show is generously supported by the staff and management of Garden Grove which is a one stop shop for all your gardening and landscaping supplies.
RSSA Volunteers are wanted to help set up and run the show. Please contact the secretary.
