Watercolour and Wine Workshop

Celebrate the beauty of spring by joining artist Kat at the picturesque Grand Cru Estate for a unique watercolour painting workshop. This experience is perfect for those looking to unwind, sip wine, and explore their creativity in a relaxing atmosphere.

During the session, you’ll learn to paint delicate botanical flowers inspired by the natural surroundings of Grand Cru Estate, or from a handpicked selection of vibrant blooms. Kat will guide you through essential watercolour techniques, helping you blend colours, create depth, and master brushwork on A4-sized paper, all in a supportive, social environment.

Enjoy a glass of Grand Cru's finest wine and delicious nibbles as you paint either indoors at the cozy whiskey snug or outdoors, overlooking stunning vineyard views—weather permitting.

- All art supplies, including professional quality watercolour paper, paints, and brushes

Lost in a Forest , Wine and Design

Eden Valley is calling all "budding" and "would be" artists for a "Wine & Design" experience at Eden Valley Institute on Sunday the 30th July at 1-4pm.

Join us for a relaxing afternoon of landscape creativity, as we paint a 16x20cm stretched canvas “Lost in a forest” under the guidance of local artist Sarah Hughes.

This small group art session is suitable for the absolute beginner with no experience to the more confident artist.
All materials supplied and a step by step tutorial to inspire, but feel free to bring along any ideas of your own.

For $60 per head you will receive tea, coffee & nibbles along with a complimentary glass of wine. Wine by the glass will also be available during the afternoon.

Come and join us for 'Bubbles and Brush' at the Talunga Park Atrium, Mount Pleasant, on Sunday 28th May at 2pm.

Price is $60 which includes expert guidance from Joe Dennis, canvas and the tools to create your masterpiece. A glass of bubbles is included to get your creative juices flowing.

This event is being hosted by the Mount Pleasant District History Room as part of our fundraising efforts.

Home School Kids Art Classes

This is a 6 week term, 1 1/2 hour session each Tuesday from 10:00am -11:30am (beginning Tuesday 16th May and ending Tuesday 27th June).

Recommended for children aged 7+. (For children under 7, a parent must be present for the entire class).

Sessions are payable by term and no refunds will be given for missed classes.

Your child will benefit from learning from two different Adelaide Hills artists over this 8 week term. Zinia and Rebecca are both experienced Art teachers, passionate about Australian Native Fauna and will share this passion with your child as they guide them through a whole term of educational art activities surrounding the theme of Australian Native Animals. A different animal will be introduced each week along with facts and discussion about it. Students will also have the opportunity to explore a range of different media including drawing, painting and printmaking.

Captured Exhibition opening - Top of the Torrens Gallery

You and your family and friends are invited to the opening of ‘Captured’ – a collection of pieces by artist/painter Jill Allanson and photographer John Wallace. Jill and John are both valued members of Top of the Torrens Gallery and have long been looking forward to presenting a selection of their many and varied ‘captured images’ for our viewing pleasure.

They will be joined by Adrian Beacham, David Hough, Barry Liddicoat and John Ragless who will be displaying a medley of 3D pieces including metal sculpture and woodwork in various forms.

The exhibition will be officially opened at 2pm on Sunday the 5th of February by Jill Allanson and John Wallace. We hope to see you all at the opening event where refreshments will be served from 2pm.

Please note that the Gallery is now also opened on Mondays – 11am to 4pm for you to call in and view the display and explore the Gift Shop. The exhibition concludes on the 19th of March

Let the kids creativity go wild at our Little Picasso Art Class these school holidays. For only $30, they can enjoy an hour long class hosted by Little Picasso, plus enjoy a kids meal afterwards.

Little Picassos provide quality art classes that give each child the opportunity to create their own masterpiece.

Best suited to children from ages 4 - 12 years.*

INFORMATION:

- Ticket price is $30per child, including lunch and drink
- Session time is 10am – 11am. We are also holding a second session at 11:30am – 12:30pm, please refer to the other event on our page for the booking link

KIDS EVENTS T&CS:

Bookings are essential and places will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, so please act quickly to make sure that you don't miss out. Guests will be required to check-in at the venue and use the hand-sanitizer provided before entering the space. This activity is suitable for children aged 4 years to 12 years old. Please note that this is an approximation and you are the best judge of whether this activity is appropriate for your child. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before the performance and check in with our team. This is not a drop-off service and one parent/caregiver is required to stay with each child in The Gully for the duration of this event. A full payment per person is required upon booking.
